hi there. This is a warning to all Husky 4 stroke owners. Behind the clutch there is a support for the starter gear. It is called a H bracket. It is held on by 4 * 8 millimetre bolts. Sues bike had all of them loose, one of them had come so far around it had been rubbing against the clutch and bent. This had caused the start gear to move, lose some teeth and then wedge itself against the starter teeth so that the starter was jammed. the repair involved a new starter gear with bushes to take up the difference between the new gear and shaft and the old. Easier to do than it is to tell. On talking to the spares man he said that the race teams remove the bolts and replace them with a dab of Loctite. I wish I had known that before Manby. Since the repair it has been faultless.
